Honorable Bill Boyum

Member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Graduated from UNC undergraduate and law school. Practiced law in Western North Carolina starting in 1986 as a defense attorney, Assistant District Attorney, Assistant United States Attorney and Special Assistant United States Attorney. Served as Chief Justice of the Cherokee Supreme Court for 10 years before retiring in 2016. Currently a contract attorney for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and consultant for TJS. Fun facts: served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World’s Largest Bingo Game in Cherokee, NC. Appeared on Samantha B segment on Indian Jurisdiction.
